Downtown Laurinburg

The Downtown You Should Know

Harley's Tuxedo and Gifts

Harleys Tuxedo & Gifts opened in february of 2005. the owner, Harley Norris, had worked downtown for 20+ years at barrons menswear where he learned the art of the formalwear business.

He bought a building 2 doors down and opened harleys tuxedo & gifts soon after barrons closed.

Within the first 2 years of opening, many gift selections were added and harleys soon became as much a gift shop as it was a formalwear destination. Every day—any day-- is a celebration for someone. We want our gifts to be great choices for each individual celebration.

We obviously cater to the formalwear customer, but we enjoy hundreds of customers looking for the perfect gift. In 2013,we added our own ScotsLife line of clothing-- sportswear geared to the fans who celebrate the winning successes of scotland high athletics.

Another popular gift choice are the townboard signs from many surrounding local cities, townships and communities. Each sign has the latitude/longitude address of a signature location in that town. These items are all proudly made in America.

Some of our more notable lines are Heybo, Yeti, Southern Fried Cotton and Huk sportswear. Candles are a big seller and we carry Votivo, Rescued Wines and Primitive Glow. One of our strong features and focus is to stock as many reclaimed and upcycled gifts as possible. Customers enjoy purchasing recycled gifts-- it gives them a warm feeling about supporting a better environment.

While we schedule various small pop-up events throughout the year, our largest event is our annual Christmas Open Houses, held the Thursday & Sunday before Thanksgiving. Hundreds of local guests and many from surrounding counties stop by for a Christmas purchase and to enjoy holiday food and beverages.
